1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how GoalTrack (“the App”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the App. By using GoalTrack, you agree to the practices described here.
This policy applies to GoalTrack on Android and desktop.
If you do not agree with this policy, do not use the App.
2. What information the App collects
2.1 Information you provide
GoalTrack collects and stores the information you enter into the App, such as:
- goals, tasks, habits, notes, reminders, categories, and any custom text you add
- app settings and preferences
This information is stored locally on your device by default. If you sign in and enable sync, some of this information will also be stored in your cloud account (see section 4).
2.2 Automatically collected information
Depending on which features you use, the App may automatically collect:
a) Device & app usage data
- device type, OS version, language, and app version
- basic technical data needed for authentication and sync (for example, timestamps and identifiers)
b) Advertising data (Free tier)
If you use the Free tier, the App may show ads. Ad partners may collect:
- advertising ID (or equivalent device identifier)
- IP address (used for general location like city/country)
- ad interaction events (impressions, clicks)
This data is used to show ads, measure performance, and prevent fraud. If you have Pro, ads are removed and ad-related collection is not used while you are on Pro.
We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal data (like health, biometrics, or government IDs). If you type sensitive info into your goals/notes, that’s your choice, and it remains on your device unless you share it.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- provide and maintain core features (goal tracking, reminders, progress stats)
- save your goals and settings on your device and (if you sign in) sync them across devices
- process Pro subscriptions and keep your Pro status in sync (see section 5)
- improve stability and performance (bug fixes)
- comply with legal obligations if required
4. Data storage
GoalTrack stores your content locally using on-device storage. This may include:
- goals, progress, notes, schedules, and settings
If you sign in: GoalTrack uses Google Firebase (Firestore and related services) to store and sync your account and app data. In the desktop app, your main synced data is encrypted before upload. Some metadata (for example profile fields and subscription status) may be stored unencrypted to support app functionality.
5. Sharing of data
We do not sell your personal data.
5.1 Third-party services
GoalTrack uses third-party service providers to deliver core functionality:
Possible categories of third parties used:
- Ad networks (to display ads in the Free tier) — e.g., Google AdMob
- Google Firebase / Google Cloud (authentication, database sync, hosting, server functions)
- Stripe (payment processing, Checkout, and Customer Portal for subscriptions; may support payment methods such as cards and Google Pay depending on availability)
We do not receive or store your full card number. Payment details are handled directly by Stripe under their policies.
6. Permissions
GoalTrack may request the following permissions:
- Storage / Files (if enabled): Used only to save or export your data (e.g., backups or exports) to your device. The App does not access your files for any other purpose.
- Internet: Required for sign-in, cloud sync, and Pro billing flows.
You can deny permissions, but some features may not work.
7. Data retention
- Your goals and notes remain on your device until you delete them or uninstall the App.
- If you use cloud sync, your cloud data remains associated with your account until you delete it in-app (where available) or request deletion.
- Subscription-related records may be retained for accounting, fraud prevention, and legal compliance.
8. Your rights and choices
Depending on your location (e.g., EU/EEA under GDPR), you may have rights to:
- access, correct, or delete your data
- withdraw consent for optional processing where applicable
- object to certain processing
- request a copy of data
Local-only data: Since your content is stored on your device, you can delete it anytime inside the App or by uninstalling the App.
Cloud account data: You can request deletion by emailing velgamestudios@gmail.com.
9. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect data in the App. However, no method of storage is 100% secure. You are responsible for keeping your device safe (PIN/biometric lock, OS updates).
10. Children’s privacy
GoalTrack is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided data through the App, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
11. International users
If you use the App outside Bulgaria, your data may be processed in other countries through third-party services (such as ad networks). Those providers may use standard legal safeguards where required.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the App changes. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. If changes are significant, we will also notify users in-app where practical.
